  Best is the best in the area! Apple fritters are amazing! Texture ,consistency , and ingredients are high quality. You feel like you are walking away with a gormét pastry every time.

  The new owners are doing an amazing job reviving this donut store. Don't let the store name deceive you, they now provide outstanding pastries also. But you better get there quick - the donuts and pastries are made fresh every day, and once a selection is gone - it is gone for that day.
  The store is set back a little from the street (Avocado Blvd just south of Fuerte Dr) so keep your eyes open. Out of all the donut stores in our area, this one is by far the best and worth the drive!

  I have been passing by Mr. Victor's Best Donut's El Cajon, for over a year now. Now, I am not by any means saying that I did not want to enter this Donut shop. I was immediately attracted to the nostalgic look of the store. Seeing customers coming in and out.
  My issue was, that I suffer from severe depression. When I decided to visit this place. I found a warm, friendly, and safe atmosphere. The owner had a fun and witty sense of humor. He knew everything about his customers and they about him. Asking about his wife and son. Finally, I started feeling like I had something to look forward too again or than being shut in my home every day. Going to The Best Donut's in El Cajon was a blessing for me.
  Today I shared part of my testimony with the owner. I asked how he saw me. He said, "You look normal to me." I said no to him." "I have mental illness." You see we were talking about mental illness today. I shared how even people who appear, "normal" are not always. I told him how he had shown me kindness and that I now have a purpose to leave My home and enteract with others at this warm place.
  As for these hours...This man and his wife; work more than 8 hours from opening to closing. Baking and cleaning. The owner has his own story. Trying to run a business to serve others...to support his family, pay bills, make ends meet, and try and save as well. Just like everyone else.
  I know we have a right to critique...but this man also has many, happy and loyal customers who understand that he is the only one who can take his son to and from.
  "If ya gotta have a donut and their good. Then they're worth waiting for a few extra minutes."
